Yellow Blazing Star – 50 Seeds

This desert native is sometimes called Evening Star since it blooms through the night and closes with the morning sun. This annual plant has shiny petals and is very attractive in large plantings, rock gardens, and gravelly slopes. Flowers reach up to 3 inches in diameter and contain numerous stamen. This is a very beautiful and unique plant that can add quite the pop of color to your garden in the evening.

Planting Instructions:
Direct sow in late fall or early spring. Sow seeds on the surface since they need light to germinate. Keep the soil slightly moist until germination which usually occurs in 3 weeks at 55-60°. This plant does no do well transplanting due to it's taproot. Water regularly until established, then the plant will flourish in dry or sandy soil easily
